At Oracle Life Sciences our focus is to help talented junior professionals secure their very first job in data science in the healthcare field.

We are currently looking for an Intern to join our Madrid office, combining in-person attendance with home-based remote work. This 6 + 6-month internship is an ideal opportunity for students with an interest to break into the Pharma and Biotech industry and immersing themselves in the Technology and Data Science world. This position is an internship and requires no previous experience.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support project teams on delivering world-class results for some of the best-known organizations in the pharmaceutical industry and will receive full training and support from experienced consultants.

Responsibilities

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform insightful analysis and generate actionable recommendations based on healthcare data with the application of data science.
  • Collaborate on the development of innovative solutions for data collection, processing, analysis, and visualization. And support the internal project teams to implement them.
  • Provide support with project management tasks throughout all stages of engagements: identifying the client’s needs, defining the approach, performing analysis, working on drawing insights and conclusions, making strategic recommendations.
  • Ensure timely communication and task completion with our partners and providers.
  • Develop sophisticated communication skills, both bottom-up and top-down, to work with non-tech savvy senior clients and staff.
  • Gain a deep knowledge of the healthcare industry.


Required Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to Technology & Data Science or Engineering and an interest in Life Sciences.
  • Currently enrolled in master’s degree in information technology or data science.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Drive to handle challenges, take initiative, and figure out solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn new things and be trained in a variety of topics during the internship.
  • C1 or equivalent ability to verbally communicate fluently and spontaneously, and write clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Positive team spirit, with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Domain knowledge in Technology (fundamentals of programming, databases, data visualization, AI and cognitive services, etc)
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Passion for innovation, and the ability to influence and drive consensus with multiple stakeholders.
  • English proficiency (C2 or equivalent)
