QA Engineer (JavaScript) - Fintech

Our client is revolutionizing private money lending operations with an AI-driven software platform and looking for a passionate QA Engineer with 5+ years of experience in a similar role. The company, located in the East part of Toronto, is growing its team and they need you.

Your experience you bring will include:

• At least 5 years of QA experience in web-applications

• You have experience with continuous delivery and automated testing

• You have experience writing test cases in the Playwright test framework or equivalent

• You have intermediate coding skills in Javascript

• You have experience building a test-suite from the ground up

• You have experience tracking issues in Jira

• You are comfortable working independently and reaching out across organizational boundaries to aid in problem-solving

• Experience working within a CI/CD environment

• Understanding of Agile development processes and best practices

Your responsibilities will include:

• Writing an automated test-suite in Playwright using Javascript to test a web-application
• Manual testing of any elements not covered by the test-suite
• Collaborate with the Product team to ensure key features have end-to-end testing
• Reproduce production bugs in a lab environment to help Software Engineers resolve the issue
• Identify strategies to reduce bugs reaching production
