Job Description: Remote Referral Processor

Job Summary

The Remote Referral Processor provides general administrative support, including routine document preparation, file management, scheduling meetings, arranging travel, and ordering office supplies. This role involves supporting various functional processes, programs, and services. Responsibilities include designing and developing program components, coordinating work efforts across third-party vendors or internal staff, developing and monitoring program/project metrics, and ongoing process improvement. The role may also involve training, budgeting, project scheduling, and preparing statistical reports. Examples of work include fleet/safety administration, travel services administration, and employee assistance program administration.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Review and process member referrals for state-mandated programs.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and promoting program activities.
  • Retrieve and disseminate data from various sources to comply with financial, legal, and administrative requirements.
  • Serve as the liaison and point of contact between the program functional area and the business.
  • Identify and report program operational issues and request resources from management.
  • Maintain program compliance with respective government and regulatory agencies.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Healthcare background preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • No specific licensure required.
  • Must work in Pacific Time (California hours).
  • Must have a reliable internet connection and a quiet work environment.
  • Position: Remote Referral Processor Pay Rate: $20/hr Location: 100% Remote (Pacific Time – California hours) Schedule: Flexible, generally 8-8:30 AM to 5-5:30 PM Benefits: Various levels of benefit plans available, including health, dental, and vision, offered by the agency at an additional cost. Temp-to-perm opportunity after 13 weeks.
