Senior Network Engineer - LAN/WAN & VoIP Specialist

Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining, securing, and optimizing our network infrastructure and voice services. Your contributions will ensure that our network is reliable, resilient, and meets the needs of our organization.

As a Network Engineer, you will collaborate with a team to support and enhance our LAN/WAN infrastructure, network security, and voice/collaboration services. Your expertise will be crucial in designing, implementing, and managing our network systems, and you will serve as a key point of contact for advanced technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support secure remote network access to both on-premise and cloud services.
• Optimize and secure the campus WLAN, including configuring, deploying, and managing network switches and routers.
• Support VoIP infrastructure and related telephony services.
• Configure and manage DHCP, DNS, routing protocols, and directory services.
• Oversee network access for all devices, including servers, endpoints, and peripherals.
• Lead off-hours maintenance and incident resolution.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to swiftly restore services during incidents.
• Install, integrate, and maintain network hardware and software.
• Monitor network performance and security, implementing necessary controls.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure stable operation of network technologies.
• Review firewall logs and manage security threats.
• Create and update documentation for network configurations and procedures.
• Ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
• Assist in developing disaster recovery solutions for critical IT infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Certifications such as JNCIA-JUNOS or JNCIP-ENT, Security+, and MCSA/MCSE are preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with network switching, routing, VoIP configuration, and enterprise network security.
• Familiarity with Juniper, Aruba, Microsoft Teams VoIP, ITIL, and network security technologies.
