About the Role

As a Senior Product Designer at FareHarbor, you occupy a critical strategic role within our product team, collaborating with designers, product managers and engineers across our Amsterdam, Denver, and San Francisco offices. Your understanding of our business objectives and user requirements combined with your deep experience in product design enables you to understand and articulate problems, and guide your team toward ideas, concepts and solutions that resonate with our clients and their end-users!

This role drives active partnership and injects passion into your teams and the FareHarbor platform. You have a broad scope of responsibility, influencing product roadmaps and decisions. Your focus is well-rounded across product areas, client needs and commercial objectives and you act as a partner and consultant to your product manager to deliver big results.

 

What you’ll do here:

  • Be responsible for the product design process from discovery through to implementation in your project team.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers within your team, while also partnering with Designers and UX Researchers.
  • Convert sophisticated, abstract concepts and challenges into feasible solutions, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and design craftsmanship.
  • Employ human-centred design methodologies to guide team and partners focus on customer-centric solutions, including facilitating workshops and brainstorming sessions.
  • Contribute to the culture of our growing design community at FareHarbor, help to craft our processes and mature our function.
  • Guide and mentor more junior designers.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years of related experience in designing digital products, particularly in B2B(2C) environments and on SaaS platforms.
  • Proven experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams throughout iterative product development cycles.
  • Strong product thinking, storytelling ability, and design craft.
  • Effective communicator, adept at articulating visions, strategies, and design decisions.
  • Strategic and intentional in design choices, integrating user, business, and technical considerations into the design process. Ability to discern when to prioritise speed and when to focus on detail and quality.
  • Self-motivated and autonomous, with a track record of prioritising and driving projects to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Proficient with Figma and its toolkit.
