Part-Time Online History Instructor for Dual Credit Courses

Description

We are looking for enthusiastic and qualified adjunct/part-time instructors to teach online, synchronous courses in History to dual credit students. This role involves teaching freshman- and sophomore-level university courses while providing a dynamic learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach online, synchronous History courses at various times and days, ensuring flexibility for students.
• Develop and deliver engaging lessons that foster student participation and practical application of course material.
• Follow the established institutional syllabus guidelines for each course.
• Regularly evaluate and assess students’ progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
• Maintain professional and supportive relationships with students, colleagues, and the broader community.
  
  

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of History and a passion for teaching dual credit students.
• Previous teaching experience is preferred.
• Ability to create an engaging and inclusive online learning environment.
  
  

Additional Information

• This is a part-time, security-sensitive position. The instructor is responsible for personal safety and the safety of others, and must practice safe work habits at all times.
• Please note that under Texas law, new state employees are subject to a 60-day waiting period before becoming eligible for health insurance.
