Job description

The Team:

The Phoenix Team is responsible for the development of the strategic content management system enabling subject matter experts and content editors to create engaging reports and analysis documents that are then delivered to the subscribing clients through downstream systems.

The team works in an Agile (Kanban-based) manner and puts a lot of effort into perfecting the software creation process, including requirement analysis, good coding practices, and continuous delivery of new features.

About the role:

The role of a software engineer in the team is to support the development of new features of the system as well as participation in strategic endeavors like the implementation of the systems API, migration to AWS cloud, or upgrade of the platform to the latest versions. It includes taking part in the analysis of technical solutions to presented requirements, implementing code as well as unit tests, performing deployments, and supporting the existing system.

Responsibilities:

  • Code design and implementation (mostly C#/.NET Core)
  • Unit testing
  • Analysis of potential technical solutions to given requirements
  • Implementing and executing fully automated deployment pipelines
  • Supporting the system (turn-based 3-line support model)

Minimum of qualification:

  • 2+ years of working experience
  • Good knowledge of a high-level object-oriented programming language (C# / Java preferable)
  • Good programming practices including design patterns, unit testing, clean code
  • Knowledge/experience/certification in cloud technologies is a plus (AWS Cloud preferably)
  • Working command of English
  • Ability and will to work in a team
