    Job Description

    We are looking for a (Senior) Analytics Engineer (m/f/d) to be part of the development of our Customer & Shop Intelligence Circle Cluster. The Circle Cluster consists of a wide range of developers, data analysts, and data scientists who work on enabling personalization and inspiration in our shop. They work with a wide range of stakeholders and are key enablers to support the business towards achieving goals and objectives as well as making educated decisions based on data. The overarching goal is to help improve and personalize users’ shopping experience

    The Team is responsible for defining tracking requirements, creating and maintaining data pipelines, designing and implementing attribution and scoring models, analyzing and interpreting complex data sets, creating actionable dashboards.
    Your specific focus will be on providing stable and maintainable data pipelines and improving automated data quality monitoring.

     

    What you will do

    • Design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and well-documented data pipelines
    • Develop and implement a statistical testing framework to evaluate and visualize the impact of new features in collaboration with other teams
    • Create automated monitoring and alerting systems to ensure data integrity and proactively identify anomalies
    • Lead the migration of data infrastructure from legacy systems, minimizing disruption and maximizing performance
    • Set data engineering standards, share knowledge, and promote best practices within the team
       

    Who you are

    • At least 3 years of working experience as Analytics Engineer
    • Proven experience building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines using SQL and Python
    • Experience building and maintaining dashboards using at least one modern BI tool like Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or open-source alternatives like Streamlit or Dash
    • Expertise in Python libraries like Pandas, and NumPy for data manipulation, and libraries such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, or Bokeh for data visualization
    • Expertise in statistical testing frameworks (e.g., SciPy, StatsModels, dplyr, tidyr) with Python or R
    • Solid understanding of statistical testing methodologies
    • Proficiency in data orchestration tools (like Airflow, dbt, metaflow, …)
    • Experience working with raw tracking data (GA4 experience is a plus)
    • Strong grasp of version control (e.g., GitLab) and data warehousing principles (e.g., Google BigQuery)
    • Able to work and drive topics independently with stakeholders
    • Excellent communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly and simply
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Pragmatic problem solver who thrives on getting things done
       

    Nice to have
     

    • In-depth knowledge of BigQuery, including cost optimization techniques and complex functionalities
    • Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
    • Familiarity with GCP or AWS, particularly infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines.
    • Practical experience with containerization technologies like Docker
