This role is part of our Rewardful  team, one of our growing brands at saas.group.

Rewardful is one of the brands under saas.group's umbrella. Since its launch in 2018, Rewardful has been making it super easy for SaaS companies to handle their affiliate programs using Stripe or Paddle. It's the go-to choice for tons of small SaaS businesses aiming to set up affiliate programs, with a big user base today.

Profile Overview

We are looking for an energetic, and experienced Head of Engineering to lead our small team of Ruby on Rails developers. We are growing quickly, and have ambitious goals for our product roadmap to accelerate that growth further. This means we need someone who will drive product development at Rewardful, lead by example, build out our development team and ensure that our customers have a reliable experience with our application.

Your immediate impact in the first 3-6 months will be:

  • Onboard onto the team and build rapport and respect amongst your new team

  • Establish effective processes and instill a culture of shipping product, ensuring adoption and figuring out what is working/not working

  • Deliver our long awaited, and highly requested marketplace and managed payouts service

  • Hire additional Ruby on Rails developer(s)

Your responsibilities

  • Work with the CEO and Product Manager to clarify our roadmap and timelines for what comes next

  • Own product delivery and manage the development team

  • Ensure stability of the application for our customers

  • Promote effective communication and collaboration with the Marketing and Customer Success teams to promote features to existing and new customers

  • Engaging with support to address customer issues

  • Effective delegation to dev team

  • Engaging with customers where appropriate

What You bring to the table

Deep experience with Ruby on Rails, Postgres, Sidekiq, RSpec

  • Experience working on applications operating at significant scale

Proven track record of building and leading technical teams.

  • Strong mentoring skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

  • Hands-on approach to leadership, remaining involved in coding and technical decision-making.

  • Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.

  • High agency, entrepreneurial attitude
