Job Summary:
Responsible for alignment and integration of regional and Institute strategic plans with enterprise strategy, and integration with financial planning. Guide regional and Institute strategic plan development and strategic thought leadership; develop business plans and supporting tactical plans; initiate and coordinate market research projects; and provide consultation, insights and recommendations based on objective, detailed market / consumer research and analysis. Oversees the strategic planning and business planning processes and reporting, in partnership with financial planning counterparts, operational leadership and other stakeholders. Ensures the development, execution, management and operational hand-off of project timelines and preparation of strategic business plans in conjunction with service line or project sponsors.
Job Duties:
- Ensures smooth and effective strategic planning process implementation and facilitation.
- Assists in the formulation and validation of strategies for Geisinger, assuring synchronization, coordination and integration with strategy and financial planning.
- Leads and coordinates efforts to facilitate strategic assessments and business plan development for new services and operational areas working cross functionally with a variety of entities.
- Manages a portfolio of strategic projects and initiatives and clients.
- Proactively identifies and appropriately scopes projects in response to market and industry dynamics, business unit priorities, and system-wide priorities.
- Synthesizes quantitative and qualitative information from a variety of sources to define strategic implications, support creative problem solving and develop strategic pathways forward for growth.
- Translates project teams’ discussions, decisions, recommendations into effective presentations.
- Coordinates project team members’ activities to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Coordinates with other departments and business units to ensure strategies address the full spectrum of issues.
- Maintains rigorous analytical and data synthesis skills; develops pro forma and other decision support models to guide strategy and key operational decisions.
