We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to oversee and manage large-scale infrastructure projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in project management, particularly within IT infrastructure environments, managing networks, data centers, server migrations, cloud transitions, and other technical infrastructure-related projects. This role requires a strong background in both project management methodologies and technical infrastructure knowledge to ensure successful project delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of complex infrastructure projects (e.g., data center migrations, network upgrades, cloud deployments).
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution, ensuring that infrastructure requirements are clearly communicated and met.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, vendors, and external partners.
  • Manage expectations, provide regular project status updates, and ensure alignment between all parties.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess project risks related to infrastructure (e.g., network downtime, security vulnerabilities, hardware failures) and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and adjust plans as necessary to ensure smooth project execution, mitigating risks proactively.

Resource Management:

  • Manage project resources, including internal staff and external contractors, ensuring that teams are aligned with project goals.
  • Allocate resources effectively, balancing workload and ensuring projects stay on track and within budget.

Budgeting and Cost Management:

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that all expenditures are tracked and aligned with the projects financial goals.
  • Ensure cost efficiency while maintaining quality and meeting project deliverables.

Vendor Management:

  • Oversee vendor and supplier relationships related to infrastructure projects, ensuring that SLAs are met and contracts are fulfilled.
  • Coordinate with vendors for the procurement of hardware, software, and services necessary for project completion.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, meeting notes, progress reports, and risk assessments.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on project progress, challenges, and results, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet the companys quality standards, with thorough testing and validation of infrastructure components.
  • Perform post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Change Management:

  • Work closely with change management teams to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new infrastructure systems or processes.
  • Lead training and knowledge transfer activities for users and support teams as new systems are implemented.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on IT infrastructure projects (e.g., network upgrades, server migrations, cloud implementations).
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of infrastructure environments, including networks, data centers, storage solutions, cloud services (AWS, Azure), and virtualization.
  • Project Management Expertise: Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) and experience in managing large-scale, complex infrastructure projects.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage project teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and motivating team members to achieve success.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying issues, risks, and opportunities in infrastructure projects.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Experience managing project budgets and ensuring financial alignment with project objectives.
  • Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or relevant project management certification preferred.
