12-Month Collegiate Faculty
Location: Remote
Job Summary:
Contributes to the quality of the program, teaches students course material as established by the curriculum, develops new material, and evaluates student performance. Represents the entry level on the faculty track.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensures students receive a top quality education where students can acquire knowledge, develop learning mastery and strengthen career skills.
- Mentors, coaches, and facilitates student learning. Teaches a specified number of courses each year.
- Assesses student performance and progress.
- Works with other faculty members to learn highly effective teaching practices.
- Works with the program chair and other faculty to ensure the broader program meets student needs and quality standards. Provides updates to the program chair on classroom activities.
- Consults with the program chair to develop instructional plan or syllabus for courses and ensures that it meets department and university standards.
- May assist colleagues in conducting independent research to advance knowledge in the field.
- Performs other job duties as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree or other post-graduate education
- Minimum of two (2) years academic, professional, or teaching experience. For some fields, professional licensure or certification is also required.
- A minimum of two of the following certifications: Security+, CCNA, CEH, CISSP, CISA, etc.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness in teaching new course material in ways that are easy to understand; potential for teaching effectiveness.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- An earned doctorate or other terminal degree in Cybersecurity, or closely related discipline from a regionally accredited institution.
