We’re seeking a Sr/Staff Software Engineer, BE|ML to join our growing AI focused healthcare startup!
As a growing start-up, the ideal mix would be between a 60/40% split between backend web app development and ML platform infrastructure. There's an emphases on finding experience building infrastructure or tooling for ML/AI Platforms with proven success in getting LLM's production ready. Data modeling experience will also be beneficial as this hire will partner closely with our Tech Lead - ML Platform. What you’ll do:
Contribute to the underlying ML platform to ensure it is extensible, scalable, and secure
Build data platform infrastructure that is extensible, scalable, and secure
Recognize and prioritize between customer deliverables & tech debt to develop a sustainable software suite of products.
Enjoy designing and architecting complex frameworks for applying ML techniques to large data volumes and simplifying labor-intensive processes
Deliver resilient enterprise software solutions
What you’ll bring:
Extensive experience in the field of web application programming
ML background - production experience assisting in the build of ML/AI infrastructure or tools
Strong working experience with Java
Working experience writing SQL queries.
Python, Scala, C++, C# is a plus
Strong CS foundation (data structures, asynchronous programming)
Strong test writing discipline
Experience with reading and understanding complex enterprise-grade code and quickly contributing to it, and suggesting improvements.
Critical thinking and problem solving skills working in a high growth environment
Comfortable with ambiguity and taking the initiative when required
BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

The salary for this position is based on an array of factors unique to each candidate: Such as years and depth of experience, set skills, certifications, etc. The base salary range for this role is $180k to $240k. We are hiring for different levels, and our Recruiting team will let you know if you qualify for a different role/range. Salary is one component of the total compensation package, which includes meaningful equity, excellent healthcare, flexible time off, and other benefits and perks to meet the needs of each individual.
