Job Role: Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance Specialist


Location: Remote

Job Overview:
We're seeking a highly skilled Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance Specialist to ensure our organization's data integrity and adherence to industry standards. This role will be pivotal in developing and maintaining a secure Microsoft 365 environment by implementing robust compliance protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Security Configuration:

    • Configure and manage Microsoft 365 security features (Azure AD, Microsoft Defender, Conditional Access, etc.).
    • Design and enforce security policies to minimize risks.
  2. Compliance Management:

    • Implement compliance strategies for GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, and other relevant regulations.
    • Maintain and audit compliance policies across all Microsoft 365 services.
  3. Data Protection:

    • Develop data loss prevention (DLP) strategies.
    • Monitor data activities for potential vulnerabilities and breaches.
  4. Incident Response:

    • Coordinate incident response plans.
    • Investigate and resolve security incidents promptly.
  5. User Training:

    • Train staff on security best practices and compliance guidelines.
    • Create documentation and conduct workshops to improve organizational security awareness.
  6. Reporting & Audits:

    • Develop reports on security compliance for management review.
    • Conduct regular security audits and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  1. Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in Microsoft 365 security and compliance.
  2. Technical Skills:

    • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 security features, including Azure AD, Microsoft Defender, DLP, etc.
    • Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
    • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.
  3. Soft Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication for remote collaboration.
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
  • Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate
