Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Assessor/Interviewer specializing in Product Management to join our team. This advanced role involves evaluating technical candidates for various senior-level product management positions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of technical proficiency, product strategy skills, problem-solving abilities, and cultural fit. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in creating and managing user stories, product roadmaps, UX strategies, wireframing, and using Jira, along with a strong ability to mentor and guide the technical assessment process.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct comprehensive technical interviews and assessments for senior-level product management positions, ensuring a thorough evaluation of candidates technical skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Develop and continuously update advanced assessment criteria and interview questions to reflect the latest trends, tools, and best practices in user story creation, product roadmapping, UX strategy, and wireframing.
  • Collaborate closely with the HR and product management teams to understand complex role requirements, desired skills, and team dynamics, tailoring assessments accordingly.
  • Provide detailed, actionable feedback and recommendations to the hiring team, playing a key role in informing hiring decisions.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in product management technologies, tools, and practices, ensuring that assessments remain current and relevant.
  • Facilitate in-depth workshops or discussions to evaluate candidates’ hands-on skills in a collaborative environment.
  • Mentor and train junior technical assessors/interviewers, providing guidance on best practices and interview techniques.
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience throughout the technical assessment process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Product Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in product management roles, with at least 5 years specializing in senior product management positions.
  • Deep understanding of user story creation, product roadmapping, UX strategy, and wireframing.
  • Proficiency with Jira and other product management tools.
  • Experience with developing and executing product strategies, including market analysis, competitive analysis, and roadmap planning.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate complex technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to provide constructive feedback and mentor others.
  • Extensive experience designing advanced technical assessments and conducting technical interviews.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest product management trends and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced certifications in product management or related fields (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Pragmatic Marketing Certification).
  • Significant experience in a technical hiring or technical assessment role.
  • Leadership or managerial experience in a product management team, with a proven track record of mentoring and guiding team members.
  • Experience contributing to product management communities or publications.
  • Familiarity with project management software and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for product strategy and management.
