As a Senior Security Researcher, you will actively work on the conceptualization and implementation of innovative solutions for supporting and enhancing our Intelligence products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform in-depth security research on software applications, identifying vulnerabilities and developing proof-of-concept countermeasures.
• Analyze complex software systems to understand how they work, where they have weaknesses, and how vulnerabilities can be mitigated.
• Conduct research on new techniques, security mitigations, and identifying vulnerabilities in communication systems
• Supervise the development of security research and evaluation plans and schedule security testing activities.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders, including certification bodies and industry partners, to stay abreast of the latest security standards and practices.
• Utilize advanced tools and techniques such as symbolic execution, automated vulnerability scanning, and binary analysis.
• Stay updated with the latest security trends, technologies, and methodologies.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• Mentor and coach junior researchers and colleagues in your area of expertise.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide security guidance
• Contribute to the development of innovative security solutions to fight crime and terror

Experience and Education Qualification

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, or a related field, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
• Combined 5+ years of experience in software security research and security assessment.
• Experience in people management and security project management

Technical Expertise: 

• Knowledge of various programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Python, Java, JavaScript) and their associated security pitfalls.
• Deep understanding of software security vulnerabilities, threats, and attack vectors.
• Proficiency in penetration testing methodologies and frameworks, software exploitation, and secure coding practices.
• Experience with security assessment tools and methodologies, such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, IDA Pro, Ghidra, and various fuzzing frameworks.

• Knowledge of various communication protocols (e.g., LTE, GSM, 5G, Wi-Fi, SS7, Diameter) and their associated security pitfalls.
• Network security tools (e.g., Wireshark, Snort).
• Experience in developing security assessment tools and scripts to automate testing processes.
• Experience with symbolic execution, automated vulnerability scanning, and reverse engineering.

Interpersonal and Management Skills: 

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of cross-functional team members.  
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
