As a Corporate Compliance Analyst, you will work with the organization to ensure that Hagerty promotes an organizational culture that encourages ethical business conduct and a dedication to compliance with the law, resulting in a positive image to team members, customers, vendors, and the community. You will examine business practices, policies, rules and regulations, assess compliance risks, and provide advice to the business regarding recommendations for best practices. You will be responsible for crafting risk assessments, developing remediation plans, and monitoring ongoing compliance. You will develop and mature the risk assessment function of the Corporate Compliance Team, while collaborating with Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Internal Audit, HR, and other shared services functions to address existing and developing compliance risks.

What you’ll do
- Collaborate and help develop a Compliance team that is viewed as a well-regarded and highly valued strategic partner to the Organization.
- Build positive relationships throughout the Organization and find opportunities to educate the Company on what compliance is and why it is important to our collective success.
- Interact positively, professionally, and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts, both internal and external.
- Analyze information gathered through observation, internal and external audits, interviews, and surveys.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify the risks that are of most concern to Hagerty from a legal, compliance, and regulatory perspective.
- Have direct oversight of the day-to-day operations of the AML, OFAC, and Sanctions compliance program.
- Work closely with Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit, Treasury, Finance, and other primary Business Unit leaders to identify risks, trends, and deficiencies.
- Prioritize risks and apply appropriate levels of mitigation through policy and controls.
- Collaborate with business teams to address compliance deficiencies and risks with corrective action and mitigation plans.
- Develop and maintain a tracking and monitoring plan for compliance risk assessments to ensure timely and effective implementation of recommended actions to help manage risk for the organization.
- Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of information, protect the assets of the Company, act ethically and with integrity, and adhere to the Hagerty Code of Conduct and policies and procedures.
This might describe you
- Proven experience as a compliance professional.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Extensive experience leading legal and compliance risk assessments, providing recommended remediation plans, and providing ongoing monitoring.
- Strong acumen of economic sanctions laws and regulations, including AML, KYC, OFAC, and other relevant sanctions requirements within the US, Canada, and the UK, and on a global scale.
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (“CAMS”).
- Broad knowledge of compliance and industry processes, practices, and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience implementing policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate compliance concepts clearly and concisely to different stakeholders.
- Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations. Including attestation to the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting data, where applicable.
Over and above
- Experience using Diligent One and/or other GRC platforms and tools.
- Experience working with the LexisNexis Bridger Insight platform and AML Insight platform.
- Experience with MS Sharepoint Suite, including PowerApps, and other collaboration and project management tools.
