Title: Marketing Automation Data Analyst

Mode: Temp Contingent worker - long term (6 month renewals and est 1.5 years)
Profile: need a data analyst with marketing automation experince and advanced SQL skills - will pull data from Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other internal applications (Dynamo DB / S3 buckets) and generate email lists for various campaigns - must have worked with sensitive PII data. Solid communication skills to collaborate with user requests/clarifications - and the email producers.
Process: .5 interview w/Brian followed by a second 1.0 team

We partner with internal customers throughout the organization in sending hundreds of millions of communications a year, leveraging data to develop segmented, dynamic, and personalized communications to provide a tailored communication journey for our audiences.
About the Opportunity
You will be a member of a cross-functional digital campaign team, tasked with accurately provisioning for the purpose of outbound digital communications including email and SMS campaigns. Working remotely, you will also plan, analyze, develop, test, deliver and complete quality assurance of data you and other team members provision to support these external communications.
In this role, you will:
Business Analysis and Data Strategy (10%)
Develop a deep understanding of the enterprise and marketing data landscape.
Consult periodically with internal customers on how best to use actionable data in marketing and operational email communications.
Data Provisioning (60%)
Fulfill data requests from internal customers using a sound understanding of *** data, data policies and governance.
Create complex data extensions and automation activities using SQL.
Partner with Digital Production staff to customize data output as required for use in personalization, dynamic content, and reporting.
Provide customer support on an as needed basis by investigating and addressing escalated incidents with data quality.
Understand Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) data models, data extensions, and the core system data structure to successfully deliver segmented and tailored messaging to meet business needs.
Facilitate and participate in detailed data analysis necessary to measure, identify and track the quality of data in an ongoing manner.
Complete quality assurance of SQL code and data output to ensure business requirements and specs have been met.
Process and Project Management (20%)
Work closely with internal customers to ensure data requirements are clear and actionable.
Ensure SLAs are met. Manage and escalate issues that arise through the data provisioning process.
Leverage JIRA for collaboration and managing work.
Documentation (10%)
Contribute to team resources by documenting common queries and unique processes that can be leveraged by other data analysts on the team.
About You
You have:
- A Bachelor’s degree, with additional post graduate degree, MS, or MBS preferred.
- Experience with standard business and project management processes.
- 3-6 years experience in managing and executing data management initiatives, including data management, warehousing, provisioning, and business intelligence.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, with expertise in SQL standards and best practices.
- Practical knowledge of DBMS, ETL tools, reporting and analysis tools, and data mining tools.
- Experience in multiple areas of data standards, data management, data warehousing and business intelligence is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time and on budget.
- Strong analytical and data analysis experience with structured problem-solving ability.
- Experience with education related data is preferred.
- Additionally, we prefer you have:
- Demonstrable experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or the ability and willingness to quickly learn Salesforce best practices and development.
- Experience with AWS, Postgres Database, DynamoDB or similar cloud technology.
- Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking with strong abilities in relationship management.
- Experience in business process analysis, design, and documentation.
