Your missions

Want to join the world's No. 2 in wines & spirits and work among convivial teams? Pernod Ricard is looking for an Energy Procurement Intern for 6 months from January to June 2025. You will be based at the Island, our office in central Paris (Saint Lazare Train Station, Paris 8).

You will assist the Global Energy Category Manager in his main missions: Managing Commodity Price Risk, Sourcing Energy supply contracts and achieving the group’s sustainability objectives.

The internship scope covers primarily the group’s energy commodities (Natural Gas, Power, Carbon, Environmental Commodities) but other key commodities may be covered (Wheat, Maize).

Your key missions:

Operational Support

  • You will update the commodity position data (trades, commodity prices, volume forecasts) and the non-commodity costs and keep a clean contracts base.
  • You will support in developing KPIs, reports, methodology, as well as tools creations and/or improvements (Excel/Bloomberg).

Sustainability and Responsibility (S&R)

  • You will understand & qualify the needs of internal stakeholders in terms of S&R.
  • You will provide operational support in reaching the S&R group objectives:
    • Lead and coordinates the negotiation and purchase of Energy Attributes Certificates
    • Support in the establishment of Power Purchase Agreements (and any further decarbonization initiative).

Market Intelligence

  • You will provide long-term energy market insights: new energy trends, decarbonation, initiatives, update on regulation, marker design).
  • You will extend energy market knowledge and generate clear and concise update to the management.

  • You are pursuing a Master’s degree in Business or Engineering.
  • You have a strong interest and good knowledge of financial markets and the energy sector.
  • You have a first experience in the financial or the energy sector.
  • You have good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • You are fluent in English, French is a plus.
  • You are analytical and organized.
  • You have good interpersonal skills.  

Please note: to apply, you must be able to complete 6 months of internship and have an agreement issued by your school/university.
