Location: Remote, various locations throughout California

Salary Range: The beginning salary range for this position is Classified Range 23, (Steps 1-3) $88,621.57 - $97,721.88

Position Overview

As  the  College  embarks  on  an  integrated  approach  to  enhance  the  student  experience, various high impact and time sensitive projects will require thorough and  collaborative project  management and operational effectiveness and efficiency. Calbright is looking for a Junior Project Manager responsible for providing a range of operational support across multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously, who will work closely with Project Managers to achieve high quality and timely outcomes, strong cross functional collaboration, and increased operational efficiency and effectiveness. Key  responsibilities  include: developing and executing detailed project plans, performing analyses to proactively mitigate risks, scheduling and facilitating  project meetings, tracking  progress for informed decision making by the Success Division teams and Calbright leadership. Under the direction of the Senior Manager of Operations for Student Success, and working in conjunction with Project Managers and cross-functional stakeholders, the Junior Project Manager will operationalize a variety of tasks and processes to ensure  the College maximizes impact on student outcomes. 


We  anticipate  hiring  one  or  more  candidates as we undertake projects within  Student Services and Success. The Junior Project Manager will also work in collaboration with multiple divisions including Learning and Instruction, and Workforce Strategy and Innovation.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities 

The duties below are representative of the role and are not intended to cover all of the duties performed within the scope of work.

  • Operational Management: Manage and initiate processes supporting various cross-functional stakeholders.Handle multiple project responsibilities simultaneously with high quality and timely delivery.
  • Project Planning and Support: Create and execute detailed project plans, identifying key milestones and goals. 
  • Cross Functional Coordination: Coordinate project teams and stakeholders for optimized collaboration.
  • Meeting Management: Manage meetings with clear agendas, documentation, scheduling, and facilitation.
  • Progress Tracking: Track project progress and support team members in meeting target dates.Develop and update project dashboards and presentation materials for informed decision-making.
  • Data Analysis: Work with Project Managers and leadership to perform ongoing analyses to anticipate and avoid obstacles; provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Documentation: Build and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Change Management: Support sustainable operational infrastructure and manage changes to project scopes, schedules, and needs.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Maintain relationships with stakeholders to execute project deliverables and ensure progress.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and establish cross-functional process improvements with clear documentation.
  • Abide by all college policies and procedures. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned that support the objective of the position.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Any combination of training and experience equivalent to an A.A. degree in office management, project management, business administration, or a similar field, AND
  • At least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. 

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with project management and operational support in a remote environment 
  • Experience with Asana
  • Ability to operationalize abstract concepts to project completion


Working Conditions and Travel

  • Calbright College is a statewide online college where all instruction and support are done via various online technologies both in person and remotely. Calbright College has administrative offices in Sacramento available for use. When working remotely, employees should be able and willing to use digital communication tools as used by the college, and have the ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
