Field Technician

Overview ...

This position is responsible for providing on-site technical support for JBT AGV Systems located in northern Ohio. This support will include AGV and AGV System troubleshooting and repair, preventive maintenance of AGV fleets and resolving issues with AGV hardware and overall system functionality

The Opportunity ...

Responsibilities:

• Perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance services as well as on-call maintenance for JBT AGVs and systems currently in operation
• Diagnose and repair AGV and system related issues
• Assist in upgrades/retrofits requiring vehicle modifications
• Assist with AGV component repairs when/if necessary
• Monitor and maintain on-site parts inventory and parts orders
• Provide AGV systems operations support for new / modified systems and start-ups
• Stay current with the latest designs, features and equipment that JBT Automated Systems offers. The organization's matrix environment requires tact, diplomacy and strong prioritization skills to accomplish the numerous, often conflicting, daily support requirements.
• Must have ability to respond to emergency situations which may require frequent schedule changes/adjustments based on the customer’s needs with minimal time to prepare.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree (A.S.) in Electronics Technology or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Three to five years relevant in-depth technical experience - experience with AGV's highly desirable.
• Experience with Auto Cad preferred.
• Experience with Jira preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic diagnostic and repair tools such as multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering iron and basic electronics hand-tools.
• Independent self-starter who can manage his/her day-to-day responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to travel to customer sites from home location on a daily/weekly basis
• Position reports to JBT Customer Care.
