Your missions

  • To be proficient/have experience in using Imos/Homag IX
  • To be able to draw, edit, and understand files and drawings relevant to our company’s needs
  • To provide support to the Design & Workflow CAD Operator and also the Innovations team
  • Working with others in the Innovations and Product Development space to support the pipeline that new products go through before launch
  • Providing CAD expertise in the development of new products and providing CAD spec sheets as required by Marketing or essential staff, for general distribution of our products
  • Supporting the suitability, prioritization, and throughputs required in CAD files for the CNC machinery
  • Understanding the requirements of what Homag needs in file types and designs
  • Using certainty and creativity to get outcomes from our CAD Design files
  • Use broad learnings from other file types and understand how these are relevant or necessary for Homag use
  • Assisting with the effective inputs into Homag to get effective outputs
  • Providing support, particularly in the area of product research, functionality, fit for purpose, and Quality Control
  • Working in a collegial way with the operators of the other machines to maximize outcomes
  • Collegially making sure that Machine utilization is effective and in line with the key objectives
  • Support the monitoring of the outputs of the machines and work with your colleagues making adjustments as needed to ensure high-quality parts are produced
  • Collegally communicating with other departments about issues such as materials availability, machine breakdowns, and scheduling conflicts
  • Following all SOP documents relating to machinery operation to ensure safety, accuracy and efficiency
  • Take a collegial role in inspecting finished products for defects in workmanship or materials
