Responsibilities

• Database Management: Design, implement, and manage robust database architectures and infrastructure to support business applications and data needs.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing, and hardware resource allocation to ensure efficient operation.
• Backup and Recovery: Implement and maintain database backup and recovery procedures to safeguard data integrity and availability.
• Security Management: Oversee database security, including user access controls, encryption, and compliance with security policies and regulations.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex database issues, providing timely support and solutions to minimize downtime and impact on operations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, system administrators, and DevOps teams and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
• Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Innovation: Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and practices to improve database management, performance, and security.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 6 years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a strong background in managing large-scale database environments.
• Proficiency in database platforms such as [e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL].
• Advanced skills in SQL, performance tuning, and database design.
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions, including disaster recovery planning.
• Strong understanding of database security best practices and tools.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., SQL, Python, PowerShell).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL) is a plus.
• Experience with observability tools as Grafana.
• English level: C1
• Good communication skills and proactiveness. 
• Desirable Skills:
  - Certification in relevant database technologies (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator).
  - Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) and data warehousing solutions and maintenance.
  - Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes.
