Architect
Requirements
The
Office of the Commonwealth Ombudsman is currently seeking experienced and
motivated Data Architect This role would;
• provide architecture/integration oversight to ensure that the
CRM system build fits into the Enterprise Architecture for ongoing sustainment
• Design and implement data architecture and integration
frameworks that enable best practice data lifecycle management and ensure
compliance with relevant standards, policies, and regulations.
• Develop architecture documentation, data models and metadata for
our data assets.
•
Consulting with Cyber Security and Legal, regarding data security and
privacy for cloud products' integration within Power Platform.
• Assist with the development of a data asset register and data
management strategy
• Maintain and support database operations, including SQL server,
Fabric, Azure cloud and Power BI data models
The
CRM Data Architect is responsible for:
• Engaging across the Office to ensure solutions are compatible
with the relevant CRM platform and, where applicable, can be integrated with
other solutions within the Office
• Ensure platform design incorporates enterprise considerations
(particularly integration)
• Creating and maintaining CRM and Power Platform solutions. This
includes scheduling upgrades and balancing Microsoft’s Wave Upgrade schedule
with delivery project/programme and other ICT constraints
• Liaising with Cyber Security for periodic Power Platform
security reviews and risk remediation, in keeping with ISM requirements
Working
arrangements
The
candidate is expected to attend the office two days a week with the flexibility
to work from home three days a week. This can be negotiated upon commencement.

Criteria
Essential
criteria
1. More
than 5 years’ experience as an Architect specialising in CRM’s, Power Bi, Power
Platform, and Microsoft Azure.
2.
Ability to professionally represent the work area and the Office in meetings
and workshops with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibility and
oversight of all layers of the solution including infrastructure, application,
security and information.

Diligently perform Power Bi and Power Platform administration, configuration,
optimisations, license and storage utilisation reporting, and develop best
practices for improved developer experiences.

Ensure platform/program alignment with broader Office initiatives and
enterprise standards by working closely with the Data, IT and IT Security
groups. Strong problem solving ability and analytical skills as well as a
passion for technology and continuous improvement
5.
Ability to produce and/or review a variety of technical artefacts including but
not limited to: Solution architecture documents, Detailed Designs, Security
Accreditation Documentation, Executive Briefs and Options Papers
6.
Experience integrating cloud products with Power Platform including consulting
with Cyber Security and Legal, regarding data security and privacy.
