About the role

The Global Human Resources (HR) Director is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of Degas’s human resources strategy and operations on a global scale. Degas is a global company with over 200 people in Ghana and more than 10 nationalities dispersed across the world, each bringing unique perspectives and backgrounds. This role involves leading the development and implementation of HR strategies that attract, develop, and retain top talent worldwide while fostering a culture of inclusivity and innovation. The Global HR Director will drive organizational effectiveness by aligning Human Resource initiatives with Degas’s mission and business goals. Management and hiring experiences among diverse backgrounds are highly appreciated, and this position is designed with the potential to evolve into the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) role as the company continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Leadership : Develop and implement global HR strategies that align with Degas's mission and drive employee engagement, performance, and retention across the organization.
  • Talent Acquisition and Management : Oversee global recruitment strategies and develop hiring practices that attract top talent from diverse backgrounds, ensuring a workforce that spans urban centers to rural areas. Foster an inclusive culture that values contributions from all employees.
  • Employee Development and Performance : Design and implement training programs that support continuous learning and leadership development. Manage a global performance system that ensures consistency, fairness, and alignment with Degas’s goals.
  • Compensation, Benefits, and Compliance : Lead the design of competitive compensation and benefits programs. Ensure global compliance with labor laws and uphold ethical HR practices.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) : Champion DEI initiatives that enhance workplace diversity and ensure equitable treatment for all employees. Monitor progress and recommend continuous improvements.
  • HR Technology and Analytics : Leverage HR technology and analytics to drive data-informed decisions, streamline processes, and ensure the security of employee data.
  • Global HR Operations : Oversee day-to-day HR operations, managing budgets, and collaborating with regional teams to address local challenges while maintaining global consistency.
  • Leadership and Team Development : Mentor and lead the global HR team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide coaching to HR team members, setting clear goals and recognizing achievements.

Location
