Your missions

Department: Victim Services

Position: Chief of Victim Services

Reporting To:  Chief Executive Officer

Compensation: $170K - $200K

Are you an empathetic, executive achiever driven to activate and inspire RAINN’s big-picture strategic vision with team members from the C-Suite to the front lines? We have a unique opportunity for a Chief of Victim Services  to own strategic and operational leadership of the National Sexual Assault Hotline and other victim services programs, driving significant growth as RAINN scales its services and innovates on its offerings.

The Chief of Victim Services  will report to the RAINN’s president and founder and also function as a subject matter expert and spokesperson for RAINN on issues related to sexual violence and care for survivors.

Championing a culture of excellence and inclusion while supporting staff and volunteers in the critical and challenging work they do, the Chief of Victim Services manages four core program areas:

  •  National Sexual Assault Hotline (NSAH), RAINN’s flagship free, confidential service for survivors and their loved ones. NSAH operations run 24/7 and include telephone and online chat hotlines; online peer support programs for adults and kids; an app; hundreds of hotline volunteers use to complement our large team of victim service professionals; and the dozens of hotlines that we operate for clients such as the Peace Corps and Uber.
  •  Victim Services’ Training Team educates hundreds of staff and volunteers each year on the fundamentals of sexual assault support and manages an extensive continuing education portfolio to ensure that the services RAINN provides are evidence-based, trauma-informed, and delivered according to world-class industry standards. The Training team also provides services for the DoD Safe Helpline, which RAINN operates for the Department of Defense.
  •  Clinical Services plays a crucial role within the Victim Services (VS) department, ensuring that hotline staff and volunteers provide high-quality, trauma-informed support to loved ones and survivors of sexual assault. The team is responsible for elevating service standards across all helplines through evidence-based practices, comprehensive clinical supervision, and the development of training and content that meets the needs of diverse audiences. By equipping staff with the necessary skills and knowledge, the Clinical Services Team ensures that RAINN’s crisis intervention efforts remain survivor-centered, non-judgmental, and strengths-based, while addressing the complex needs of survivors with compassion and expertise.
  •  Research Team drives RAINN’s research, monitoring, and evaluation efforts, managing the design, analysis, and interpretation of data across hotlines. The team identifies new research opportunities, implements innovative methods to strengthen data analysis, and ensures that research findings inform program enhancements and staff training. By serving as Principal Investigator and preparing key evaluation deliverables, the Research Team supports RAINN’s commitment to evidence-based practices.

If you are ready to use your leadership and business management skills to contribute in a profound and meaningful way and have a lasting impact on the communities you serve, let’s start a conversation.
