Job description

Salary Range: USD $29.81/Hr. - Overview:

The Job in a Nutshell:

The New Store Trainer Vitamins is responsible for setting the Vitamin and Book Department for all new stores, relocations and remodels in accordance to scheduled timelines in preparation for store opening.  This position is also responsible for some additional or continued training for the Vitamin Department Manager, NHC and store staff on policies and procedures in these departments.  This position involves both setting and guiding new store crew members on set up procedures at new stores. This position includes helping with the cleaning, organizing and set up of other areas in the store during new store set up as directed by Team Lead.

 

When not setting up stores, this position involves working at existing stores where additional help is needed or could include working on projects at other locations as directed by Executive Vice President.

All training will be conducted in accordance with company policy and procedures, with a focus on World Class Customer Service.

Responsibilities:

Main Ingredients:

  1. Assist Team Lead with creating shelf setting binders needed for new store set up, as directed by Team Lead
  2. Print updated department schematics prior to each new store, relocation or remodel to take to store for set up
  3. Cleans, sets up, stocks and tags Vitamin Department at new store, relocation or remodel set up to ensure completion before new store opening.
  4. Guides store staff with set up, stocking and tagging
  5. Utilizes the required checklists to communicate the progress to Team Lead during store set up
  6. Communicates missing product, missing or broken displays and any other issues with Team Lead and Purchasing Department
  7. Records and communicates any updates to sets at new store set up to Team Lead
  8. Takes pictures of Vitamin Department and gives to Team Lead
  9. Assists Team Lead in preparing for inventory
  10. Orders vitamins for new store set up with guidance
  11. Trains Vitamin staff on ordering policies and procedures
  12. Trains Vitamin staff on cleaning and setting shelves with assistance from the Vitamin staff
  13. Assists with cleaning, organizing and setting up other areas of store as directed by Team Lead
  14. Works at existing stores where additional help is needed when not setting a new store, relocation or remodel. This may involve working in any department stocking, receiving, working backstock, cashiering or other tasks as needed
  15. Models World Class Customer Service at all times; whenever at new store set ups, relocations and remodels or when working in existing stores

Qualifications:

Recipe for Success:

  1. Experince working in retail is preferred
  2. Proficient in SAP and must keep up-to-date on all procedure and policy changes
  3. Able to learn and become proficient on any new systems that may be put into place
  4. Knows and adheres to all Employee Handbook policies
  5. Proficient on registers and must keep up-to-date on all updates and policy/procedure changes
  6. Ability to work effectively under pressure-staying calm in challenging situations and in all interactions with other crew members and customers, and always maintaining a professional work relationship
  7. Ability to exhibit patience and understanding when working with others and able to adapt to various learning styles
  8. Able to guide and direct multiple people on multiple tasks
  9. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  10. Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently
  11. Must be able to travel and be on the road for up to 20 days during new store set up/relocation/remodel
  12. May also involve travel to assist with existing store issues at any time
  13. Able to work at existing stores or other company locations when not setting up a new store, relocation or remodel
  14. Must submit required weekly summary to the Executive Vice President and Team Lead when working at an existing store
  15. Ability to maintain professionalism at all times
