Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a high-energy, enthusiastic Junior M&A Analyst to join our dynamic team and contribute to our strategic growth initiatives. In this role, you will search for potential acquisition targets, evaluate them through comprehensive financial assessments and SEO analysis, and initiate contact with qualified targets to gauge their interest in potential acquisition opportunities. We offer comprehensive training on SEO analysis, market research, and acquisition strategies to ensure your success in the role.

This is a remote position. We do not offer visa sponsorship or assistance. Resumes and communication must be submitted in English.

  • Outreach and Negotiation: Initiate contact with potential acquisition targets, and assess their interest in possible acquisition opportunities.
  • Qualify Prospects: Assess and qualify potential acquisition targets based on predefined criteria and strategic alignment with Toptal’s goals, focusing on SEO and content value.

In the first month, expect to:

  • Achieve a solid understanding of Toptal’s go-to-market strategies.
  • Begin conducting market research to identify potential acquisition targets that align with Toptal’s strategic goals.
  • Develop a working knowledge of SEO analysis, focusing on how it impacts acquisition evaluations (with provided training).
  • Start building relationships with team members across different departments, particularly in Growth Product and SEO, to support your ongoing research and outreach efforts.

In the first three months, expect to:

  • Begin evaluating potential acquisitions by conducting due diligence, including financial assessments and SEO analysis.
  • Initiate contact with promising acquisition targets, gauging their interest in potential partnerships or acquisitions.
  • Collaborate closely with senior team members to refine your approach to market research, prospect qualification, and outreach strategies.

In the first six months, expect to:

  • Demonstrate progress by contributing to the growth of the acquisition pipeline and starting to see the impact of your efforts on Toptal’s strategic goals.
  • Deepen your integration into Toptal’s cross-functional teams, particularly in Marketing, Legal, and Finance, to ensure alignment and support for your initiatives.
  • Participate in key account planning sessions and industry events, representing Toptal and building relationships with potential partners, while exercising discretion and independent judgment.

In the first year, expect to:
