You’ll be part of a people-first culture that is growing around the world. We’re a creative, committed, and diverse group of individuals who succeed as a team.

At Kainos your ideas are heard and valued and you’ll leave a legacy that you can feel proud of.  Join us and discover how our people write our story.

Being a Workday Extend Manager at Kainos means you’ll be at the forefront of innovation within the Workday ecosystem, creating cutting-edge  solutions that redefine the boundaries of what is possible.  You’ll work closely with our clients, using your technical expertise in Workday Extend to craft bespoke solutions that not only meet but exceed their expectations. Collaborate with a passionate team of Workday experts, using your skills to drive digital transformation and make a tangible difference – this is your chance to leave a mark on the industry, shaping the future with every project you touch.

Your responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of Workday Extend implementation projects for our global customer base.

  • Work with clients to understand their current planning process and take a consultative approach.

  • Use your technical expertise to engage directly on high profile projects, to manage any significant challenges, and will be an important senior liaison and escalation for our clients.

  • Leverage your expertise to recommend the best solution based on the client’s requirements, budget, and timeframe, with the flexibility to adapt the scope as additional needs are identified.

  • Guide clients through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of each client’s unique business requirements at all stages of the project.

  • Contribute to business development, working with the sales team on opportunities within your area and be jointly accountable for achieving sales targets, providing commercially competitive estimates and content to support the sales process.

  • Manage, coach, and develop a number of staff, with a focus on employee performance and career development.

  • Develop the Extend capability in your area and/or your local region, by attracting, recruiting, developing, and mentoring talent.

  • Build and improve specialist knowledge in your capability as well as the broader Workday community.

What we are looking for:

  • Workday certification: Workday Extend certification is a must. You should have previous direct experience in building Workday Extend applications and the ability to manage junior developers.

  • Technical proficiency: Previously worked with XML, REST, SOAP, JSON, and be knowledgeable in an object-oriented programming language (preferably J2EE).

  • Engineering know-how: Experienced in designing, building, testing, and maintaining Workday apps to address business and technical issues. Proficient in cloud computing, web services, and related challenges. Can contribute to technical decisions in a collaborative team setting, including architecture, estimation, product planning, and user story/requirement creation.

  • Great communicator: Proficiency in English is necessary. You’re a clear and effective communicator, able to communicate with customers and colleagues with credibility and empathy, including in a remote working situation.

  • Best practice and delivery: Commercially aware with a strong grasp of project and business dynamics. Can efficiently plan and meet deadlines, applying standards for high-quality work. Innovative, consistently seeking improvements in tools and processes. Proficient in project methodologies, adept at their management, and expertly aware of their crucial role in project success.

  • Consulting abilities: You have previous consulting/advisory experience collaborating with international customers on multiple, simultaneous projects. Able to understand customer needs and build relationships. You are eager to deliver presentations, participate in workshops, explain functionality or solutions.

  • People Management: previous people management experience in a remote and international environment.
