Summary
Counsel and advise on the total rewards strategy and programs in rest of world aligned to our Global Rewards vision and strategy. Manage the regional / country processes, focusing on effective outcomes in partnership with our HR Delivery teams. Create the environment to develop and implement compensation and benefits strategies that support our business strategy and ensure the attraction, retention, and motivation of top talent across the assigned geographic region through differentiated talent and competitive offerings. Provide guidance on local regulations impacting reward programs / processes.

Job Responsibilities
- Counsel and advise on the strategy, design, implementation, ongoing management of the compensation and benefits program execution for the assigned geographic region
- Aligned to global strategy and structure, develop and optimize fully comprehensive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain the best talent, providing an environment where employees feel valued
- Foster a Total Rewards environment that is market competitive, cost effective, and compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures, and aligns with our Syneos Health Vision and Values
- Ensure effective design and delivery of compensation and benefits programs. This includes: survey participation, market pricing, job evaluations, job harmonization, salary planning (including statutory increases and step increase processes), competitive compensation analysis, offer consultation, workforce planning, benefit renewals/RFP's, benchmarking, regulatory compliance, plan modification
- Support the development and implementation of a complete health and wellness program for employee participation with a goal to reduce health risk, company medical costs, and encourage healthy lifestyles
- Lead the design, implementation, and administration of benefit programs, including medical, dental, disability, life insurance, employee assistance, retirement, and other plans
- Support and create content and seamless experiences for new hire benefit orientations and enrollments to ensure employees understand their total benefits and make informed decisions around these offerings
- Monitor the costs and risks associated with change initiatives, consulting with all relevant business leaders and partners as key milestones are achieved and/or material challenges emerge
- Identify opportunities for the development and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, controls, cyclical and ad-hoc reporting, globally and within assigned geographic region. Design and deliver communications and training materials for any change initiatives
- Collaborate with HR partners and business leaders to understand workforce needs and develop targeted compensation and benefits solutions
- Engage with works councils and other employee representative bodies to review and implement compensation and benefits changes in compliance with local labor laws and regulations as appropriate
- Apply best practice decision-making processes & achieve desired compensation outcomes by providing detailed analysis/models, innovative recommendations, and expert advice to management and HR
- Support the design and administration of applicable compensation and benefit plans. Participate and contribute to the successful execution of the quarterly and/or annual comp cycle process and annual benefit renewals which includes creating, editing, and delivering training materials that are comprehensive and enable managers to be successful
- Monitor and analyze compensation and benefits trends, recommending adjustments and improvements as necessary to maintain market competitiveness and cost-effectiveness ensuring compliance with relevant legal requirements, data privacy regulations, and internal policies related to compensation and benefits administration
- Participate in cross-functional workgroups driving solutions that impact employee compensation and benefits opportunities including mergers and acquisitions, system-wide cost-saving initiatives, audit findings, system development, effective and efficient best practices, processes that are consistent across business units, continuous improvement, integration, and implementation
- Participate in special project teams to support initiatives including leveraging technology, innovation, & process improvement to deliver results. Ensures data integrity within data management & reporting
Stakeholder Management Responsibilities
- Focus on the long-term viability of Syneos Health’s compensation and benefits programs in the assigned geographic region and globally, partnering with business leaders and other control function partners to support compensation and benefit strategies that position the organization competitively in the marketplace and support the achievement of company objectives
- Provide support for the strategic review, design, implementation, and ongoing administration of compensation and benefits programs. Remain conscious of current and future personnel costs and protective of the financial resources of Syneos Health, acting as a steward of these resources on behalf of our leaders, stakeholders, and investors
- In partnership with Compensation Business Partners, lead the education of leaders regarding the compensation and benefits philosophy, manager capability and enablement, pay transparency and discipline, salary structures, market analysis, tools and systems, cyclical salary review, variable compensation processes, and benefits, including interpretation of policies, practices and regulations
- Partner with HR leadership and Communications to develop key employee messaging on compensation and benefits topics
- Focus on the delivery of simple, global processes, with disciplined execution. Partner closely with HR CoEs and Functional teams to establish and maintain harmonized, dynamic processes
- In collaboration with Legal, Finance, Internal Audit and third-party administrators, focus on the creation of accurate reporting, budgeting and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding compensation, benefits and related issues
People Responsibilities
- May lead a team of regional Total Rewards experts who counsel business leaders on global compensation and benefits programs, practices, policies, and process creation and support
- Reports to and assists the Director, Total Rewards to ensure programs are aligned to business needs, market competitive, cost effective, and compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree coupled with at least 5 years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits, with a focus on global or regional oversight
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills to all members of the business and leadership and can translate data to information, derive insights, and make actionable business recommendations
- Strong knowledge of subject matter
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations
- Proven experience working with works councils or similar employee representative bodies in a multinational environment
- Demonstrated project management capabilities, with the ability to lead complex initiatives from conception to implementation
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- Experience with Workday
