Director of People Services
Location: Hot Springs, AR 71901
Travel Required: Up to 20%
Salary Range: $82,300 - $115,200 (USD)
Signing Bonus: Negotiable

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of People Services to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in formulating and implementing HR strategies to improve co-worker relations and develop a family-friendly organizational culture. This is a senior-level position that requires a deep understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-worker Relations: Formulate and recommend program goals and objectives in all areas of co-worker relations.
  • HR Program Management: Develop, implement, and administer HR programs aimed at improving co-worker relations.
  • Organizational Development: Foster a family-friendly environment within the organization.
  • Recruitment & Staffing: Identify staffing needs, develop recruitment strategies, and manage talent acquisition processes.
  • Leadership Collaboration: Work with senior leadership to align staffing, recruiting, and retention strategies with organizational goals.
  • Supervision: Oversee the recruitment, selection, and personnel policy development processes, providing direction to subordinate staff.
  • Employee Training: Supervise the development of in-service training and educational programs to enhance productivity.
  • Problem Resolution: Investigate employee grievances, working conditions, and disciplinary actions, providing recommendations for resolution.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports as required.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the HR department's operating budget, ensuring compliance with approved amounts.
  • Performance Management: Review and evaluate employee performance, making recommendations for hiring, promotion, termination, and disciplinary actions.
  • Onboarding: Direct the onboarding process, including orientation and eligibility determination for new employees.
  • Recruitment Activities: Manage recruitment activities, including advertising and outreach, in coordination with Nursing Administration and Ancillary Department Leaders.
  • Communication & Training: Provide high-level communication and training to directors and managers on HR policies and procedures.
Must-Haves
  1. Extensive knowledge of co-worker relations, including HR management principles and practices.
  2. A degree in Business or Public Administration, Human Resource Management, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
  3. Strong knowledge of laws and regulations related to Human Resources.
Nice-to-Haves
  1. SHRM Certified Professional (PHR) or Senior Professional (SPHR) certification.
  2. Master’s degree in a relevant field.
