The Digital Data Transformation Leader is responsible for leading and coordinating initiatives that impact systems and processes within the Financial Capital and Operating planning arena. This lead will work closely with leadership to develop strategies and set priorities while also leading cross-functional teams to implement initiatives and track progress. Additionally, the Digital Data Transformation leader will be responsible for digital change management, organizational design, and business process improvement. The Digital Data Transformation Lead will help drive the technical design solutions and enhancements for our reporting and planning teams through transformation of their business processes, practices, and tools and deliver end-to-end reporting and planning applications. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on implementation across various aspects of digital transformation within financial planning, emphasizing both technical expertise and leadership in change management and process improvement. This role is pivotal in not only conceptualizing digital strategies but also in ensuring their effective implementation and continuous improvement, thereby positioning our Financial Planning and Strategy organizations for success in a digital world.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and drive overall digital transformation products, projects, strategies, and roadmaps. Develop the overall digital transformation strategy and plan(s) for the full lifecycle of technical implementation of new technology.
- Review existing internal planning processes to identify areas for improvement helping the candidate become a subject matter expert in the capital and operating planning arena. This involves developing transformation plans and overseeing their implementation.
- Champion tools and conduct training sessions for relevant departments on how to interpret and use analytics effectively. You willl be instrumental in facilitating organizational change towards digital adoption.
- Responsible for a financial enterprise performance management and information architecture to enhance integrations and streamline operations for business analytics. This includes ensuring solutions are maintainable, secure, and performance-driven.
- Advocate for the exploration of innovative financial technologies and recommend system upgrades to improve financial analysis, reporting, and compliance.
- Understand solutions that will take initiatives into account by converting business needs into the corresponding technical requirements.
- Connect activities across different work streams to ensure they align with the organization's overall timeline, milestones and competing initiatives.
- Organize and direct business development activities such as client presentations, proposal creation, and Statements of Work (SOW) to support the growth and implementation of digital transformation initiatives.
- Conduct various pre and post launch activities including but not limited to assisting in monitoring system health, leading training, retrospectives and documentation refreshes.
- Plan, drive and participate in User Acceptance Testing. Strategize UAT, prepare testing document and coordinate stakeholders to complete testing on time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience with data engineering solutions, software development life cycle, and/or project life cycle activities.
- Have significant experience, subject matter expertise and a deep understanding of both business and technology.
- Change management capabilities.
- Fluency across three disciplines – Finance and Accounting Operations, Project Management and Technology.
- Must be adaptable to recognize business needs shifts.
- Experience with Oracle ERP and Oracle EPM Hyperion Planning and Essbase.
- Experience with Cloud technology.
- Strong understanding of reporting tools, i.e. Smart View, Oracle Data Visualizer, Power BI
- Experience with operational data science, machine learning or artificial intelligence solutions are considered a plus.
- Understanding of accounting databases and information systems.
- Experience eliciting business requirements and translating them into a data digital transformation strategy preferred.
- Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills preferred.
- Willingness and ability to mentor less experienced team members preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Self-directed with a passion to prioritize quality over quantity.
- Detail oriented, motivated, self starter that is comfortable in a fast paced environment and works well with stakeholders of all levels.
- Excel in communicating and negotiating with all stakeholders in a project.
- Project Management certification is a plus otherwise the equivalent of practical knowledge experience in project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and writing.
Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout CCL facilities.

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Work Location: This position is classified as “remote.” As a remote role, it allows employees to work full-time from the comfort of their home. It may also require regular travel to Carnival headquarters in Miami, FL for in-office collaboration. Sourcing of candidates is primarily done in Carnival’s remote hubs of Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, Houston, and Dallas. If the search is extended past those areas, candidates must be located in one of the following U.S. states: FL, GA, TX
