About The Position

Velosio is looking for a Development Manager of Business Central Architecture to play a critical role in leading and managing a team of software engineers and developers.

Your expertise will guide the design, creation, optimization, and testing of software projects, ensuring they meet and exceed our clients’ expectations.

Your Day Might Look Like

You will do so by

Supervising And Delegating

Lead and manage the development team, delegating tasks effectively.

Hire and train new developers to build a skilled and cohesive team.

Establishing And Reinforcing Standards

Define development standards for the Business Central Development team ensuring consistency and quality.

Foster a culture of excellence in software development practices.

Innovation And Strategy

Proactively monitor emerging technologies related to Business Central development and determine how best to incorporate them into client deliverables.

Be an active contributor to the development team influencing design and architecture decisions.

Work Cross-functionally

Interfacing with internal and external customers to understand requirements, set priorities, and communicate direction and progress.

Manage project planning, scheduling, status reporting, and project budgets.

Oversee creation of service estimations for development tasks and support presales efforts.

Participate in project quality assurance processes as appropriate.

Deliver high levels of client satisfaction and leads team members to achieve the same.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of experience managing software development teams with hands-on involvement in system architecture, design, and performance
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and best practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AL and ancillary technologies
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to quality, self-motivation and a desire to succeed
  • Proven track record of delivering reliable and scalable software solutions of high quality
  • Deep technical expertise and strong problem-solving and data analysis skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences including C-level management, public groups and/or boards of directors
  • The ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
