Your missions

Treasurer This is a prominent voluntary role within the charity as it strives to support more children and young people who have Down Syndrome. We advocate strong stewardship, value for money and making a real difference.

What difference will you make?

We seek someone with a strong background in finance able to support budget setting, monitoring, and reporting, financial strategic planning, willing to work alongside our paid finance assistant and assist in the preparation and presentation of our annual accounts. Be able to attend regular board meetings on-line and provide an up to date report with support from finance assistant. Be available for face-to-face meetings as and when required with the senior finance worker and/or Director in either Somerset or Bristol. Also, be willing to input to the strategic vision and direction of the charity and its services as a whole.

What are we looking for?

Finance, accountancy and knowledge of the charity sector, grants and fundraising.

What will you be doing?

We employ a finance administrator who deals with the day to day financial tasks and payroll. They also prepare the annual accounts ready for auditing. The treasurer role is about having an overview and ensuring clarity for the board.
