The Azure Storage team is looking for a Technical Program Manager to work closely with other Product Managers, Software Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to maintain and advance the state of data infrastructure used to provide insights on product adoption, usage, and attribution. You will collaborate with key stakeholders on implementing telemetry and reporting innovations to help derive new business insights and drive additional efficiencies and business growth. You will accomplish this by building and maintaining the pipeline of data and reporting infrastructure that tracks the consumption of Azure Storage services. You will need to have a deep interest in data and the principles behind decisions, combined with the ability to understand and evaluate different points of view as you work across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Building, maintaining, and enhancing the data pipeline and reporting infrastructure used for tracking utilization, deployment readiness, and rollout of Azure Storage hardware platforms.
  • Collaborating with other Program Managers to utilize data as a tool for extracting the insights needed to drive increased efficiencies and utilization of Storage services.
  • Partnering with a wide array of disciplines and teams.
  • With minimal supervision, you will help deliver on roadmap for feature groups, track project schedules, develop staging and implementation, and stay updated with governance programs

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines, AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 2+ years of experience in
    • reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos),
    • AND quantitative and analytical skills, able to make informed tradeoffs, and able to break down and solve complex and often ambiguous problems,
    • AND designing, delivering, and iterating on complex projects with a diverse set of stakeholders,
    • AND data-driven insights creation, strategy definition, and experimentation.
Other Qualifications

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines, AND 4+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
  • 4+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Proficiency in Cloud technologies and services delivered by hyperscale cloud providers (Azure, AWS, Google), and experience in Storage Technologies.
