Description

Hi! We’re Search Atlas Group, an SEO software company (and full-service digital agency) focused on engineering products and services that help websites improve their performance on Google. We are a rapidly growing organization with clients from Fortune 500 companies to leading Silicon Valley tech startups, and we're looking to bring on a Head of Engineering to help us propel our growth.

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical leadership for the engineering team.
  • Defining the software architecture to support the company's business objectives.
  • Overseeing the full software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Building, managing, and mentoring a high-performing team of developers.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the engineering organization.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with product, design, operations, and other teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
  • Identifying issues + working with the QA/Product team to help ensure the software is as bug-free as possible.
  • Leading daily SCRUM meetings and making sure all goals are aligned.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of leading and scaling engineering teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Extensive experience in software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Strong technical skills and hands-on experience with modern software development tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
  • Outstanding communication, collaboration, and people management skills.
  • Python, Django, React, other software development experience that aligns with our tech stack.
  • SEO experience is a huge plus! Our tool is an SEO software suite so it would be great if you understood the tools.
  • Ability to record Loom videos demonstrating product issues / usability problems, along with presenting solutions.
  • Ability to keep up with a fast moving team that's constantly building new products and features.
