The Senior Manager, Capacity Planning (Marketplace) will work cross-functionally with Finance, Product, Commercial, Marketing, Operations, and Services to drive forecasting accuracy for Headspace Marketplace, ensuring member access to timely care (therapy, psychiatry, behavioral health coaching) and achievement of financial goals. Reporting to the Vice President, Marketplace, the Senior Manager will own supply-demand modeling, marketplace hiring targets (by state, shifts, health plan, etc.), reporting, and KPI definition, in addition to driving forecasting improvement initiatives and automation opportunities with our data science team. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for driving supply-demand related investigations across stakeholders when variances are observed. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, experienced in forecasting and workforce planning best practices, with an ability to lead and influence senior cross-functional partners.
What you will do:
- Lead cross-functional stakeholder group across Product, Data Science, Commercial, Clinical, Finance, Talent, and Operations to understand how changes to the business impact supply and demand forecasting, updating assumptions accordingly
- Lead annual marketplace capacity planning efforts to define roadmap, hiring targets, and financial goals, with quarterly re-forecasts
- Identify opportunities to evolve model structure and sophistication, working closely with the data science team to automate and improve model integrity
- Closely collaborate with clinical teams to understand and validate utilization assumptions, baking them into forecasting and shift-scheduling models
- Closely collaborate with Talent and provider acquisition team to drive accountability over hiring targets (by state, sub-specialty, demographic, health plan, etc.) and resulting supply
- Define and monitor capacity related KPIs, collaborating with Marketplace operational teams on escalation pathways to resolve access issues
- Support leadership in setting roadmap, KPIs and business health metrics associated with marketplace forecasting and capacity
- Collaborate on network scale strategy, including supply monitoring and escalation, cross-licensure initiatives, PSYPACT opportunities, and analyses driving expansion decisions
- Perform ad-hoc analyses as it relates to supply and coverage (RFP domain owner, leadership deep dives, etc.)
What you will bring:
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience, with demonstrated expertise across building, maintaining and evolving forecasting models (Excel); ideal experience within workforce planning, supply/demand planning, and/or marketplace capacity management
- Highly analytical skillset and comfort driving data informed decisions
- Demonstrated track record at a high-growth, start-up
- Ability to influence and effectively communicate with senior leadership
- Strong judgment, accountability and decision-making skill set
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with provider (therapy, psychiatry) licensing strategies (cross-licensure) and capacity management
- Experience collaborating with clinicians as key stakeholders
- People management experience and ability to motivate and drive operational teams
Pay & Benefits:
The base salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skills and scope required, relevant licensure and certifications, and unique relevant experience and job-related skills. The base salary range for this role is $130,230-$183,050.
