Summary of The Role

The Payroll - Senior Executive is responsible for managing and overseeing the payroll functions within an organization. This role involves ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time, maintaining payroll records, and complying with relevant laws and regulations. The Payroll - Senior Executive also handles various payroll-related tasks, including deductions, bonuses, and benefits administration.

Role Responsibilities

  • Ensure all payrolls are always delivered on time and with 100% accuracy.
  • Process the payroll data in an organized and structured manner.
  • Keep on track of all payroll deadlines and monthly payroll tasks.
  • Prepare payroll reports and provide monthly payroll data in journal format to finance for processing.
  • Timely follow up on employee overpayments/claims/queries.
  • Deal with payroll queries and resolve or escalate as required.
  • Constantly seek out ways to improve systems and processes to ensure a seamless flow between Human Resources, Payroll and Finance.
  • Provide support to any project related activities from Finance and Human Resources.
  • Provide support to Finance with reporting and audit queries.
  • Maintain strong cross-functional team relationships.


Requirements
Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • Degree in Human Resources or Finance.
  • Minimum 4 – 5 years’ experience in similar role specially working with USA companies.
  • R365 and APS experience a plus.
  • Prior payroll experience is mandatory specially working with USA companies.
  • Knowledge of general payroll practices, procedures, operations and legislation in the USA.
  • Knowledge of using spreadsheets, formulas, extract reports and produce the summary analysis.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High level of confidentiality and ethics.

Work Environment
  • General Work Hours: 6.30PM to 3.30AM Sri Lanka Time – 45hrs/week
  • Location: Remote WFH + Occasional meetings at our Colombo 5 office – Sri Lanka.
  • Remuneration: Gross Salary up to:  LKR 180,000 to 200,000/-
