Senior Fund Income Tax Accountant at Pine Gate Renewables

Pine Gate Renewables, LLC is seeking an experienced income tax accountant that is excited about working in the dynamic industry of Renewables.  This position will report to the Fund Income Tax Manager assisting in the management of income tax compliance, planning and research for a large multi-entity structure.  Pine Gate is looking for candidates with a self-starter attitude possessing solid communication skills, a keen attention to detail and a forward-looking perspective to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented and evolving environment.

What You’ll Do

• Assist Fund Income Tax Manager with partnership income tax return preparation process for fund level entities that are prepared by our outside tax advisors, including answering questions for tax preparers, first level detailed review of tax return drafts, comparison of actual to expected results, and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of tax return drafts to investors.
• Preparation of non-income tax state filings (f.e. OR CAT).
• Coordinate payment of income and franchise taxes as required.
• Review and respond to fund level income tax notices and audit inquiries.
• Prepare estimates of taxable income and allocations for investors.
• Technical research, as needed, at the direction of the Fund Income Tax Manager.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist Corporate Income Tax group with compliance and/or projects as needed
• Perform other responsibilities as arise.

Must-Haves

• Experience with partnership taxation
• Experience with complex organizational structures
• Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills 
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, make decisions, prioritize job duties, and meet assigned deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment 
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills with the ability to develop strong relationships across all levels of the organization 
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel Skills 
• Proficient at MS Office

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of income tax experience in public accounting and/or the corporate sector
• Solar/Renewables experience preferred
• CPA preferred
