APEA is looking for enthusiastic Nurse Practitioners (NPs) who are passionate about both practice and teaching and would like to take the next step in preparing students for the certification exam.

The Nurse Practitioner Educator is needed to deliver Live Nurse Practitioner Certification Review courses (in person and online required). This position is a remote position that requires presenting 2–4-day review courses, traveling to present the course on site and virtually from a remote location.

Responsibilities

  • Embody industry knowledge of nurse practitioner practice
  • Deliver NP exam prep content to students preparing for the certification exam
  • Utilize technology to provide live instruction to support participants preparing for NP certification exam
  • Understand APEA products and solutions to assist customers
  • Implement a consistent process to optimally deliver high-quality reviews
  • Have a computer with reliable internet access

Education and Experience

  • Masters or Higher Degree in Nursing
  • Mastery knowledge of the Nurse Practitioner Certification Exam Blueprint
  • Current unrestricted Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching or presenting at conferences, 5+ years preferred
  • Experience as a family or psychiatric nurse practitioner preferred

  • Ability to travel and present at least four review courses per year
