What you’ll do:

As an Independent Licensed Sales Agent you will guide beneficiaries as they navigate one of the most important purchasing decisions of their life, selecting their health insurance coverage. You will listen, consult, and advise them over the phone on their health insurance options. We partner with top national and regional health insurance companies, so you will have the ability to ensure customers get the right coverage for their situation.

To be successful in this role you need to have good technological proficiency as the role requires you to toggle between multiple computer applications and screens while on the phone.

Hours: Our highest call volume occurs between the hours of 8:00AM - 1:00PM PST, Monday through Friday outside of AEP, and therefore to be successful you should be available to answer calls during these hours. During AEP 8:00AM - 1:00PM PST and 5:00PM - 8:00PM PST Monday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 10:00AM - 1:00PM PST.

What we offer:

  • Competitive uncapped commission

  • Flexible schedule

  • Free leads, no prospecting

  • Our innovative, best in class technology

  • An IGEL USB device that enables connection to our platform

  • Appointments with carriers will be processed and paid for by eHealth.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have your own E&O insurance.

  • Must have a current AHIP certification.

  • Ability to be appointed with our carriers by October 1. If you are currently appointed with Medicare carriers you must be able to become reappointed, through a release letter or other process, by such date.

  • Windows based PC and wired headset.

  • Internet connection with 25 mbps download/15 mbps upload speeds.

  • You will be required to undergo basic training to be permitted access to eHealth’s software systems.

Compensation:

  • Our independent advisor contract is commission-based only, with commissions paid bi-weekly.

  • As a non-employee contractor, you will not receive any employee benefits. However, we do provide free inbound leads, our CRM, and support to help make you successful. This is a non-captive advisor contract.

As a licensed position working within a regulated industry, all candidates must undergo extensive background checks, including lifetime criminal background and credit history reports. Passing a background check is a condition for contracting with eHealth in this role.
