ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a driven professional with a strong commitment to excellence,business-minded and a self-motivated legal generalist.

The ideal candidate for this position has excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. As well as attention to detail and experience with legal matters. The Legal Operations Associate will work closely with DiligenceVault’s leadership team to ensure all legal matters are handled efficiently. The candidate must have at least two years of experience in a corporate, contracts or in-house legal setting, preferably in the tech industry.  We are looking for an individual who is passionate about the law and our business, an innovative problem solver, and an astute negotiator. 

In this role, you will need to have strong knowledge of contract law, privacy laws, and the tech industry. Additionally, you should have a thorough understanding of complex legal principles and be able to advise on risk management. You should also have the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE VAULT:

  • Collaborate with management to devise efficient legal processes.
  • Prepare, draft, and review various types of contracts, including vendor agreements, client service agreements, NDAs, partnership agreements, and employment agreements.

Communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Oversee governance matters and corporate record-keeping.
  • Negotiate contract terms with external parties to ensure favorable terms and mitigate risks.
  • Liaise with and supervise external counsel for outsourced legal matters.
  • Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide advice to internal stakeholders on contract-related matters, risk management, and legal obligations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all contracts and legal documentation.
  • Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to address and manage them.
  • Work closely with other departments, including sales, finance and HR, to ensure contracts align with overall business objectives and strategies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, legal developments, and regulatory changes that may impact the company.
 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in law;
  • 2-4 years of experience in legal operations, corporate, contracts or in-house legal setting, preferably in the tech industry;
  • Strong understanding of contract law and legal principles;
  • Knowledge of SaaS contracts a strong plus 
  • Experience working in a global company and knowledge of privacy laws and US/European laws is a plus;
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical and organization  skills;
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Familiarity with startup operations.
