Job Description:

Parsons Corporation has an immediate opening for an experienced Principal-level Civil Roadway & Highway Engineer. This role is for supporting design engineering of various DOT projects, as well as surrounding regional projects.

 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Responsible for the technical excellence of the engineering functions of the projects including coordination of technical disciplines and development of project alternatives, and preliminary and final design
  • Design horizontal and vertical roadway alignments, and super elevation diagrams
  • Design of ramps, interchanges, and road apertures
  • Perform quantity calculations project estimates
  • Managing Associate Engineers in completing project deliverables
  • Develop details to construction, detour, signing and marking, as well as erosion control drawings
  • Coordinate with project team and interdisciplinary technical personnel
  • Assists the project manager in completing the project deliverables
  • Ensures project is adhering to client criteria and scope
  • Assist in preparing technical reports and documentation of activity for the client and project management
  • Assist in obtaining, analyzing, and circulating technical and contractual information to project disciplines
  • May be responsible for the scope development, scope management and commercial performance of projects to meet project goals and objectives
  • Assist functional managers to identify company resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work 
  • Assist in identifying new project pursuits, gathers intelligence regarding these pursuits, participates in Parsons’ pursuit process, and may lead response to client requests for proposals/qualifications

 

What Skills & Qualifications You'll Bring:

  • 4-year degree in Civil  Engineering (or related field)
  • 10 years or more of related work experience
  • Roadway & Highway design experience with state DOT or Federal Highway projects
  • Geometric alignments design
  • Microstation experience is essential, either with Inroads, OpenRoads, or Geopak
  • Professional Engineer (PE) is highly preferred

Salary Range: 

$96,400.00 - $168,700.00
