Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Cash Application Manager who will oversee the efficient and accurate processing of cash receipts and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cash application, with a focus on automation and collaboration within a healthcare/workers compensation insurance environment.

Responsibilities


  • Manage a team responsible for the daily processing and reconciliation of cash receipts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate posting of payments and adjustments to customer accounts.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline the cash application process.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as Billing, Collections, and Finance to resolve payment discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Drive automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce manual processes.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess departmental performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Train, mentor, and develop staff to ensure a high level of productivity and professionalism.
  • Manage the relationship with offshore vendors involved in cash application processes, ensuring SLAs are met and quality standards are maintained.


Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Required Skills and Experience: 5-10 years of experience in cash application, preferably within the healthcare/workers compensation insurance industry. 2-5 years of management experience, demonstrating leadership and team-building skills. Proven track record of implementing process improvements and automation solutions. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset. Experience managing offshore vendor relationships is a plus.

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $87,878 - $105,000 annually, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
