Job description

For one of our client in Retail field we are currently looking for an Business Analyst Strategic Supply Planning (m/f/d). You will play an integral role in contributing to shaping the overarching company strategy, with a particular focus on the Supply Business Unit. This unit oversees the sourcing, procurement, and in-season trading of all products. Your responsibilities will involve driving insights planning and forecasting our purchasing needs, building business cases for investment decisions, providing data driven recommendations and bring transparency to the business drivers as well as maintaining and evolving our Planning models. With a direct reporting line to the Head of Strategic Supply Planning, you will contribute your expertise in planning and analytical acumen. Your capacity to thrive within the dynamic realm of an expanding international business will be pivotal. Moreover, you will become an advocate of the Supply Business Unit across the organization. Success in this position hinges upon your flexibility, adaptability, collaborative prowess, critical thinking, and a keen commercial orientation.

  • You will execute the weekly / monthly / seasonal performance analysis and forecasts and develop action plans to maximize growth, optimize profit and manage stock levels
  • You will develop forecasting supply planning models by implementing statistical methods to perform predictive analysis for sales and inventory trends.
  • You will monitor our OTB FC and derive recommendations for top-and bottom-line to meet our financial targets.
  • You generate ad-hoc data-driven insights and support solving complex commercial, financial, and operational challenges in the Supply Business unit.
  • You are responsible for creating and maintaining existing planning tools and processes and support evolving them where you see an opportunity to improve and streamline.
  • You proactively cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders across critical business functions through effective and proactive communication.
  • You act as a functional expert for Junior Strategic Planners and mentor less experienced members in the wider team.

Skills

  • You have gained 5+ years of experience in an e-commerce, planning or analytical role.
  • Your commercial mindset combined with your deep analytical skillset sets you apart from your peers.
  • You have experience in setting up business cases and driving strategic businessconclusions.
  • You have great communication skills and a proven track record of navigating a complex stakeholder landscape.
  • You have advanced skills in Excel (including the ability to write and implement VBA macros)
  • You’re fluent in SQL, Python, Google Analytics is a plus
  • You have a proven track record of solving ambiguous problems
