Job Summary:

The Chief of Staff plays a central role in driving operational initiatives and organizational effectiveness for Ownershift. Reporting to the CEO, the Chief of Staff will work cross-functionally with other leaders at the holding company and portfolio company levels, gaining exposure to all aspects of the business. We are looking for a driven, entrepreneurial, and quick-thinking operator who can flex across strategy, finance, business development, and operations. The Chief of Staff will collaborate with the leadership team on strategic initiatives, defining and implementing company-wide priorities, while ensuring alignment of our vision with day-to-day operations. This is a mission-critical position that requires strong leadership, project management, and communication skills in service of supporting the growth and scalability of Ownershift and its portfolio.

 

How you’ll make an impact: 

  • Translating quarterly strategic goals into action items for the team.
  • Identifying operational inefficiencies, and executing process improvements.
  • Leading special projects and initiatives identified by the CEO and leadership team.
  • Creating process documentation and training materials.
  • Supporting CEO with investor relations and fundraising, and with preparing presentations for external stakeholders.
  • Working with colleagues to ensure they are supported to be as effective as possible in their roles, including support with development plans.
  • Identifying vendors, negotiating vendor contracts, and managing vendor payments.
  • Coordinating and managing the execution of day-to-day operations.
  • Partnering with leadership to set and track key performance indicators.

 

What you’ll bring to the table: 

  • Strong management skills in developing talent and translating strategic objectives into action plans.
  • 5+ years’ experience in management consulting, M&A, or startup operations. Ideally experience in a start-up environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, track details, and provide the leadership team with all the necessary information to facilitate and expedite decisions.
  • Experience with business analytics and metrics, as well as with project management.
  • Affinity for joining a high performing team that values collaboration, expectations of excellence, candor, and deep analysis.
  • Excitement about getting in the weeds in service of our portfolio companies and those companies’ employee-owners.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

 

Compensation: 

This position will receive a competitive base salary DOE, early-stage equity, and a generous benefits package including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, unlimited PTO, and paid holidays.
