Your missions

Job Summary:

AssetWorks is seeking an experienced Product Owner for our industry-leading Fleet management products. We are looking for a results-driven self-starter who will be responsible for overseeing & delivering the timely release of our software products. As a key member of the product development team, you will collaborate cross-functionally across Product Management, UI/UX, Engineering and QA to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. This position will be responsible for driving adherence to agile principals managing release planning and accelerating our innovation to our customers.

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Set user story standards and ensure test and acceptance criteria for them
Work with Product Manager and UX to refine user stories
Monitor and enforce Jira Hygiene
Facilitate feature/bug/tech debt prioritization with Product Managers
Facilitate/ensure yearly, release, and sprint work plans
Manage backlog continuously prioritizing and adjusting based on business needs
Regularly communicate status, escalate issues, and remove blockers
Establish and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs)
Act as a Release Manager to help plan releases and ensure timely delivery

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM field from an accredited college or university. Asset Management domain knowledge and/or experience working with state and local governments is a plus.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

10 years in enterprise software development
Prior experience as a product owner, scrum master, or software product management
Experience using Jira to build and track epics and user stories and construct a release pipeline
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
Experience with overseeing CI/CD pipelines
Skilled at collaborating across departments and internal stakeholders
An ability to drive product decisions often across stakeholders with incomplete information
Have experience with refining development methodologies to improve the delivery and velocity of releases and user stories
Must be able to work with changing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or similar certification is a plus.
