Job Summary

Point32Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Consultant to lead Strategic Planning and Capital Management efforts. Under the guidance of the Director Corporate Strategy, this role will be responsible for developing our 5-year strategic financial model, evaluate capital funding requests, and tracking and reporting of our strategic goals and initiatives.

This role requires collaboration across the enterprise and accessing resources from data analysis and project teams for developing business cases for strategic options, including financial cost-benefit analysis, and financial modeling. The role will also be responsible to leading cross-functional efforts to evaluate business strategies and converting them into multi-year financial projections.

Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing

  • Develop a comprehensive 5-year financial model to help drive strategic direction at the organization, incorporating scenarios planning as well as factors such as revenue growth, cost projections, and investment plans.
  • Facilitate organizational understanding of financial performance and how its impacted by operational leading indicators and KPIs.
  • Structure assessments, provide problem-solving leadership, conduct analysis and research, develop recommendations, and communicate well-articulated conclusions to Senior Management.
  • Assist in corporate capital planning process to determine what projects or business needs are prioritized and executed based on project financial returns and alignment with the company’s strategy.
  • Evaluate potential investments, projects, or acquisitions from a financial perspective to assess their feasibility and impact on the organization.
  • Work collaboratively with Actuarial and Market Finance leaders to develop and maintain lifetime value model for all products
  • Develop strategy documents and presentations, including financial business case, cost-benefit analysis and financial modeling for senior management discussions, Board meetings, Leadership retreat, and other internal venues
  • Manage relationships with various stakeholders across Finance (Actuarial, Business Finance, FP&A, Accounting) and Business (ePMO, Planning leads across all LOBs) teams, up to and including the VP level
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications – what you need to perform the job

Education, Certification and Licensure

  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred

Experience (minimum years required):

  • 10+ years’ experience in roles of increasing independence and responsibility, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare payer or management consulting. 
  • Knowledge of health insurance industry and payer economics required.

Skill Requirements

  • Strong financial acumen and quantitative analysis capabilities; ability to structure and execute on complex analyses and explain methodology and approach to executive audiences
  • Strong financial modelling skills, preferably in healthcare payer setting
  • Independent idea generation and strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability and willingness to take ownership of initiatives and drive to conclusion
  • Structured strategic and logical thinker, ability to craft story line for strategy projects for executive audiences
  • Proven track record as a strong collaborator
  • Excellent oral and written communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact and develop relationships with senior leadership and stakeholders in multiple departments
  • Results and delivery orientated

Working Conditions and Additional Requirements (include special requirements, e.g., lifting, travel):

  • Must be able to work under normal office conditions and work from home as required.
  • Work may require simultaneous use of a telephone/headset and PC/keyboard and sitting for extended durations.
  • May be required to work additional hours beyond standard work schedule.
