Job Description

The BIW sealing systems engineer will have had a minimum of 5 years of experience in Bulk Materials Handling in the automotive Industry, straddling design-office and field oversight/commissioning responsibilities, the BIW sealing systems engineer will be responsible of material release in both CAD design tools and PLM systems as well as material applications and specification definition.

Responsibilities:

Estimating and proposal preparation support
Mechanical detail engineering for material application in the BIW components.
Specify Materials for Pumping systems such as sealings, adhesives, sound deadeners, coatings, paints, e-coat, etcetera.
Support for Equipment specifications and installations.
Assembly Structural Design analysis
Product Design Verification plan and evaluation.
Process control support
Project and field management
Support for Vehicle Launching and Pre-series prototypes.
Material validation in-Lab

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineer
Minimum 5 years experience in Bulk Material Handling in the Automotive Industry such as sealings, adhesives, sound deadeners, coatings, paints, e-coat.
Excellent knowledge of NX/Teamcenter Software
Experience in Material Characteristics, Analysis and Lab-Testing
Product Launching Management Experience
Availability to travel occasionally
Advanced English (B2/C1).
