Job description

Resource Innovations is seeking an experienced Program Manager, Energy Programs - Startup in Columbus, OH to join our growing Government Services team.  As a Program Manager, you will be focused on the successful launch of Inflation Reduction Act programs; Homes and HEEHRA across one of several states and will be supported by our SVP of Program Delivery, our VP of PMO, and the entire Resource Innovations team.  You will have a unique opportunity to shape and build a best-in-class startup function that is scalable nationwide and, once startup activities are complete, this role will shift into overseeing the same program/s you helped launch.  As a Program Manager with Resource Innovations, you will work closely with senior program leaders to ensure we meet internal deadlines and exceed partner and client expectations. You will be establishing best practices, managing various projects, tracking and ensuring deliverables/milestones are met, and working cross collaboratively with the internal team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and supports activities of a large-scale energy programs alongside program leadership, our program delivery partner/s, and State Energy offices.
  • Track high-level program deliverables, schedules, and milestones, ensuring alignment with the program's objectives and priorities.
  • Organizes leadership and other meetings, including tracking agendas, taking notes and scheduling leadership meetings
  • Coordinates with internal support teams including Operations, Finance, IT, Engineering, and Marketing.
  • In-person and virtual client engagement throughout the duration of the project/program.
  • Supports problem resolution activities, including working with colleagues and subcontractors to resolve issues or prepping materials to brief leadership on emerging issues
  • Conducts analysis as needed to support decision-making

Requirements

  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to the greater Columbus, OH area.
  • A Bachelors degree in business, engineering or relevant field of study.
  • 4 years of previous relevant project management experience is required; preferably in the energy efficiency field.
  • Excellent organizational and scheduling skills 
  • Client management experience 
  • Proven experience tracking project schedules 
  • Willingness to put in the extra effort when needed, you will not be alone. 
  • Highly motivated with the ability to be flexible and move seamlessly among tasks as priorities shift 
  • Excellent word, excel, outlook and power point skills; Asana, Smartsheets or equivalent a bonus 
  • Superior interpersonal/client skills; ability to handle confidential and sensitive information 
  • High degree of inter-cultural sensitivity and inclusiveness. 

Preferred Experience and Education 

  • Previous energy efficiency experience or utility experience desired, preferably within market transformation 
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification preferred 
  • Experience working with governmental clients and/or agencies
  • Previous Energy efficiency program Management experience
